Ho acquistato questo libro perché mi piace leggere, ed in più me ne servo per i miei studenti, dal momento che insegno discipline teatrali, e di conseguenza anche le tecniche di lettura espressiva, ad alta voce e davanti ad un pubblico. La buona letteratura è quel che serve a questo scopo.

Non so che versione abbia l'altro recensore, ma a me non compare apparato critico. È presente solo il testo delle satire e nessuna parafrasi o nota critica.

Un’edizione Critica e commenta da far leccare i baffi a chi sa leggerla. Anche il lettore comune entra in un brodo di giuggiole per la bellissima edizione e l’introduzione assai utile.

Ho preso questo libro per arricchire la mia libreria di ebook, e per non essere costretto a portare pesi e ingombri di libri in carta quando vado in giro.Lo consiglio a chi ha il mio stesso problema di trasporto.

L'apparato è ben fornito, le note apportano una parafrasi abbastanza completa, tutti i modelli letterari e i riferimenti storici. È utile alla preparazione di esami universitari.
