This book is so real that it is scary. You can tell that Scott Adams has spent time. His description of cube life is still relevant today.I have been trying to justify the Peter Principle and could not make it fit but after reading this book all things became clear. It is impossible to keep a straight face in meetings with out seeing the different types of personalities doing their thing. I can even anticipate what they are going to say and the reactions.Usually as most books and movies you rec [...]

This is a therapy session for me. I work at a quasi-government agency where the most incompetent suckholes are promoted and the rest of us that actually point out their mistakes and shortcomings are hated and left at the bottom. Reading this book that I'm nowhere near alone and that my dreams of leaving my job for another will probably result in just walking into another minefield. Excellent book
Although this book was published almost 20 years ago, the principles of mismanagement, malfeasance, incompetence, and failure due to corporate stupidity still reign in the office workplace. A must read for those banging their head on the cubicle wall.
This book is great and I've bought a copy for all my subordinates, and even gave one to my superior. The only complaint is that this book is not on the Kindle or NOOK. My pet theory is that Google, Microsoft, Facebook, Apple and every other company that is doing well is using Scott Adams OA5 concept, and therefore they have blocked any future publication of this astounding work of logic and comedy.
I have lived as Dilbert for over 24 years in the Government. The book is an amazingly accurate look at life in the office environment. Not to mention Mr. Adams has some terrific ideas about how to help businesses do better.
This has been around for awhile, but it is still hilarious as all get-out. Great reading for a few pages while you are sitting in the bathroom, know what I mean? Scott is a very smart and very funny guy.
